Artist Statement:
Adirondack Clouds
My intention when I paint is to connect as deeply as I can to the Life Force that dwells within all things. This is the same consciousness that I bring to writing poetry. My experience is that art in all its forms holds the potential to take us into the actual experience that quantum physics speaks of - the energetic pulsation beneath everyday appearances where all of life is interconnected as One.

I spend a great deal of time in the planning stages of a watercolor painting creating studies in value, composition, color, and if needed, studies of the most challenging aspects. When I finally enter into the painting itself, I’m more relaxed and connected to the spirit of the painting.
